Thought for the day!
Taken from the daily posts at the Assisi Institute, while all of this post is inspiring, I found the very last sentence the most encouraging for those times when you wonder if what you are doing with your life makes a difference. Then you look around at all those things you have been blest with and know. . .

Money and Spirituality: The Marriage of Heaven and Earth
“The measure you give is the measure you receive, pressed down and overflowing.”
Jesus
For those who are householders with families to support, money is not to be shunned. However, neither should we cling to it. Franciscan “poverty” for the householder is expressed as generosity—the willingness to share our abundance with those in need and to support those causes that further God’s work in the world. When we generously share our gifts with others, a currency of grace or abundance is established—from God to us and from us to the world. The more we give - wisely and with discrimination - the more we receive. Simply put, God takes care of those who take care of His business.
